Dr. Datta is an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College University of Pune. His experience of 37 years of clinical practice includes over two decades in interventional cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. He has been Examiner in Cardiology with various universities and National Medical Board. He served as Professor Head of Cardiology at Army Institute of Cardiothoracic Sciences AFMC Pune, Army Base hospital Delhi Cantt, Head of Medicine and Cardiology at Army College of Medical Sciences. He has been Consultant Cardiology, Electrophysiology at Delhi Heart Lung Institute, BL Kapoor, Mata Chanan Devi Hospital(s). His sphere of work includes Clinical, Interventional Cardiology, Arrhythmia, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Adult and Paediatric congenital and valvular heart disease, Device therapy for cardiac pacing and Heart Failure. He has experience of performing:

•    Over 15000 interventional procedure with 600 primary Angioplasties.

•    Over 1000 Electrophysiology study with 2D, non- fluoroscopic 3D electro-anatomic mapping and radiofrequency ablations.

•    Single & Dual chamber pacing, cardiac resynchronization therapy

•    Conduction system pacing with His bundle/ left bundle pacing, HOT CRT. Further, he routinely performs:

•    All adult coronary interventions including left main angioplasty, chronic total occlusion, bifurcation angioplasty, vein graft angioplasty with IVUS, distal protection device and rotablation.

•    Paediatric and adult congenital interventions performed include device closure of ASD, VSD, PDA,RSOV, balloon valvoplasty, angioplasty stenting of coarctation aorta, renal carotid and other peripheral interventions.
